The lockbox code is supplied separately. There is one front-door key: use it, then put it straight back in the lockbox so everyone can get in.

Noise and curfews
Please don’t be noisy in the garden or hot tub after midnight Friday/Saturday or 10:30pm on weekdays. The cinema, dining and games rooms are better for late-night chats.
Hot tub
Cleaned and treated before and after every visit. It is left cooler between stays, so allow an hour or two to warm up. Use the arrows to set temperature; the other buttons control jets and lights.
Please shower off lotions first, never take glass into the hot tub, and use the hose to top up the water if it falls below the jets.
Cinema room
Wall controls raise/lower the screen. White remote controls the projector; black remote controls the Fire TV. Please leave remotes in the room. The large sofa can be used as a spare bed.
Heating, doors and garden
Gas central heating is controlled by the Nest thermostat in the ground-floor hall. To lock the patio door, lift the handle while turning the key. Garden lights normally come on around sunset and switch off at 10pm.
Laundry, towels and supplies
Bed linen, indoor/outdoor towels, hair dryers, iron and ironing board are provided. The washing machine adds detergent and conditioner automatically; TurboWash with 1400 spin is recommended.
Rubbish, recycling and breakages
Outside bins are at the side/front of the house. Red: paper. Blue: plastic, glass and metal. Black: general waste. Tell us about breakages or stains so we can fix them.

Feeding a crowd
Kitchen
Milk: We don’t provide milk because the house is sometimes empty for several days.
Cooking
1 electric oven, 3 gas ovens, gas hob, microwave and large air fryer/pressure cooker. If the range hasn’t been used recently, gas can take a while to reach it. The electric oven tends to run cool, so check the thermometer inside.
Coffee machine
Mainly intended for large pots of filter coffee. The reusable filter needs no paper. Bring your preferred coffee for the espresso function.
Dishwashers, fridge and glassware
Two dishwashers, American fridge-freezer plus an overspill fridge. Please use plastic glasses outdoors and around the hot tub.

Local area
Tankerton High Street is very close. Whitstable Harbour, Harbour Street and the seafront are around a 10-minute walk. Check opening hours and booking requirements before travelling.

Before you go
Check-out
- Strip used beds and leave linen on each bed.
- Put used towels in a bath.
- Load and start the dishwasher.
- Take rubbish to the outside bins.
- Check the back door is locked and turn off lights.
- Turn down the hot-tub temperature.
- Return the front-door key to the lockbox.
- If leaving Sunday night/Monday morning, putting the bins on the street is very helpful.
